I am down to six days until I fly out to GA for some much needed time with my Pops and for my interviews. I have been working my tail off between working and studying for these exams and oral board questions and I am hoping it all pays off! One way or another the stress will be gone, so thats a plus! I just have to have the faith to know it will work out the way its supposed to regardless of the out come.
A lot could change in the next couple of months so its really exciting to think about the possibility of it coming through, I just don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket and then be let down at the end of it all if nothing comes through. So I am staying cautiously optimistic and continuing to do the things I know how to do best: prepare and work hard!
Yesterday was Easter and I had an excellent supper with my sister Erica, Mother, and my Uncle Pat. We always share the best laughs when we are together, I just wish the entire family could do it more. I talked with Erin yesterday as well, her and Josh greeted at their Church from 7-8 and then went to Cracker Barrel. They are already practicing for when little Michael Brent has his children haha. Not only will they make great parents…but they are already practicing for grand parent status!
Speaking of the Chicago gang, Ive got some time off the week after Erin’s birthday in May and if my schedule always it I am going to try and make a visit up north to see them. I want to see Michael Brent get his karate on and I miss the pups also! If not then I hope to at least be able to help them move come July!
I got my package in the mail yesterday finally identifying the gender of my soon to be niece/nephew! although I’m still sworn to secrecy on a scale of 1-pumped…I am PUMPED! I can’t wait to see how my sister and her husband take on their new roles as parents and the ever changing dynamics that come with a family! and I am equally excited to be there for them. It’s weird having the “first” sibling to have their first child, it seems like it was no time ago Erin was out doing gymnastics in the back yard on a mattress she drug out from her room. Time is going by SO quick!
